Product Review: LUSH Dark Angels Face and Body Cleanser

I HAVE ACNE. I just wanted to tell all of you. I get it everywhere too, on my face, chest and back and have gotten it ever since I hit puberty. It’s always been one of my insecurities and others like this hateful person from Twitter, have also noticed about me.

I’ve tried products like Proactiv – it doesn’t work!! – and been to many dermatologists to try to help my skin problem but it’s something that, even at 21 years old, I still struggle with. I’ve tried it all, but it wasn’t until I used LUSH Dark Angels exfoliating scrub that I finally started to see my skin clear up a bit. Doubled with using drinking 1-2 liters of water a day, I’ve used Dark Angels about every day and I’ve seen a dramatic improvement in my skin. I love it so much because, unlike some salicylic acid / benzoyl peroxide combination that I got from my dermatologist, it clears my skin while maintaining it’s moisture. I bought a tub for about $25 at LUSH and it lasts about 4 months. I use it on my face, chest and shoulders in the shower every day. It contains charcoal and sugar that’s great for clearing blackheads and keeping them from coming back.

It is so frustrating having to struggle with acne and not being able to find a solution. I used to not wear shirts that showed my chest and shoulders because of my acne, and now I do all the time. Not only do I love this product but I love the LUSH company. If you’re struggling with acne and oily skin, I would totally recommend this product. If not, you can always go to a store and one of their experts will find a product for you!
